Cisco Certified Networking Associate - CCNA

INTRODUCTION :-

  • This is the first step into the world of Cisco. (Introduction to Cisco products and  technology).
  • The technology from Cisco is different for its different products internally, but similar to feel while working with it.
  • Same type of syntax, same feel across various platforms and products that it provides.
  • This is what differentiates CISCO from it's competitors apart from it's strong support services.
Hey, we are here to learn something about CCNA, isn't it?
Then you may be thinking what are we doing? Yes, true.

I believe that we should understand -
  • What are we entering into before plunging into it? Say, you don't know how to swim and you take a plunge into a river for swimming. What happens? Its obvious you drown. If we haven't forgotten then we have learnt in school days that - TRY and TRY until you SUCCEED. In school we learnt it and tried to implement in real life, but we failed miserably at times and other times we succeeded.
  • I am trying to outline that we succeed at times and fail at other times. But the central idea is not SUCCESS or FAILURE, it is where did you try? How did you try ? With what help or resources you had with which you have tried?  Did we ever analyze ?   I believe it is a big NO for 95% of us.
  • In order to swim. We should take help from an instructor and try it in a swimming pool at first. Once we get some expertise, then we should take a plunge into a lake then river etc... You see it's a gradual progress. It is not a go at one shot that we can learn any thing. Am I right?
  • Likewise, we should look at certifications that we are opting to do.
Things to do first:-
  • Know the Products you might need to work on.
  • Know the technology that you will have to learn to cope with your work requirements.
  • Understand what it takes to get through it.
  • Now, after finding these you should be ready to take a plunge into Swimming Pool with instructor's help.
